Pedantics & Problem Solving

Behavioural Economics is de@d.

Reads the article.

Having read through it, I've decided that I'd just post poetry and some music on LinkedIn for a week.

Why?

As much as we all are about theories, and frameworks, and the "right way of doing" things,

As much as people here are about methods and validity and the "science" behind actions,

Every problem that is required to be solved- almost always needs creative inputs.

Creativity comes in different forms, and presents itself in different languages.

It could be painting, it could be code, it could be UX writing- anything.

All these skills are refined not just through studying- but by being who they are, and owing the lenses they've developed to look at the world and its problems in their own unique way, on a daily basis, in every moment.

It is the things we don't do solely for work- and to just be, that make us good at what we do.

Your work should not become your life, but your life, experiences, ideas and the person that you are- will definitely influence your work.

Living itself is a task, an active experiment at problem solving.

It isn't just about 70 hours.

It is when you are figuring out how to finance your next date.

When you're planning your child's education.

When you're sitting beside a terminal relative figuring out how to process it and how to make the time a little better for them.

There is art, poetry, creative problem solving, emotional intelligence, project management and strategic planning in almost everything we do- each time to be applied where needed.

When we look at them as isolated objective entities- these are just things,

When we do not get too pedantic about it all and just do it because that is what was needed, it becomes human.

A human who's going about life figuring it out on the go and every problem solved makes you a little better at it.

I just happen to see poetry in it, you might see a framework- somebody might translate it to code.

Here's to simply being.

Here's to respecting living.

Here's to not limiting "being a functional cog of society, worthy of life" for 70 hours.

It's everything, it is nothing at all.

All of it is work. None of it is.

All of it is art. None of it is.

All of it is a creative excersise, none of it is.

You need to be the one making the choices.

I prefer the poetic one.
