Things to Remember pt1

1) You do not have to kill yourself to validate your feelings. You do not have to stay in constant negative thought loops in order to rationalize what you're feeling.

2) Sometimes, the biggest decisions you'll take, with everything at stake, knowing a lot is at risk, will also turn out to be wrong decisions. Don't beat yourself over it. You're human, mistakes happen, there is no correct way of living life, it is an ongoing experiment of hit and trial. Screw what people say.

3. I dropped out of what's considered the best economics course in the country(DU), to pursue psychology at Christ. Sometimes I do question that decision. The weight feels too much at times knowing I'd be graduating by now ,because I didn't get to attend much classes offline anyway. I'm holding on. Atleast, I'm doing what I love, and I know I'm pretty darn good at it, I don't hate every moment of my studies, and that's good enough for me.

Yes, psych is tough, it is tough asf considering I shifted from a commerce background to a BSc degree, but nothing really is easy in life.

Chose your own battles.

4. Write.

5. listen to music. All sorts of it, without judgment. Dissect its layers, think about the tones, identify the instruments, visualize the recording session, feel every part of it, and then feel the totality of it.

6. Practice thoughtlessness. In the modern world, our minds are over stimulated and our bodies are understimulated. Rest your mind just as you rest your body.

7. Practice kindness. Do good, without incentive.

8. Learn to seek help when needed. There's no shame in it. But do not get too reliant on others too. Seek help, not escape.

9. Count your blessings, have gratitude.

10. Love. Yourself, your partner, animals, the planet, your parents.

Remember, there is no love without respect.

And last of all, Learn to forgive. Yourself, others, and God (if you believe in one).
