To lie naked in the sun,
To die hated and unsung,
To have lived,
Unfated yet with fun,
To breathe,
Unabated and then hum,
That we're the children,
children of the sun,
Through the fields of chaos,
holding our hearts in our fists,
unfettered we run,
To have existed,
when revolutions (had) begun,
To have hoped,
for days,
days, of a sun,
not cruel, not scorching,
not the one that through everything,
burns,
A sun that touches your skin,
and in your bones you feel,
A sun, that holds all,
those who are shunned,
A sun free of time,
A sun that knows no night,
A sun that breeds life,
that removes all,
Through our darkness we have learnt,
We, are the children of the sun,
and we defy even the sun,
To not forget what the darkness taught us,
that we, in our hearts,
we hold the sun.
